CONGRATULATIONS to the Chicago Cubs on making the MLB playoffs and equal congratulations to 111 yr old Borgis Wyck, the last known surviving attendee to a Cubs World Series title game. Should the Cubs make it to the show, Tribune Co. (owner of the team) has promised Wyck upper deck box seats for all home games at the reduced price of $1823.43 per ticket (not including food or beverage)
SPEAKING OF ATTENDENCE GOP hopefuls Rudy Guliani, Mitt Romney and new comer Fred Thompson were conspicuously absent from a recent candidates’ debate hosted by Tavis Smiley, which addressed certain issues germane to the less affluent and people of color in general. Word has it that the three were actually otherwise engaged by a dinner date with Fox News poster boy Bill O'Reilly and Louis Farrakhan, which took place at an east Compton rib joint. O'Reilly was overheard exclaiming, "Wow, they even have wet naps here!"
AND UP NEXT FOR O'REILLY Buzz has learned, is a spot on the Oprah Show to promote his new book entitled We Really Can All Get Along (E-mails from Rodney King) for kids
ADDING TO THE LIST of offensive comments put forth by Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadi on his recent visit to the U.S. are statements which seem to suggest that he questions the legitimacy by which the winner of American Idol is chosen particularly in the area of fan balloting and that he does not believe that Geico can really save him 15% on his car insurance. "Not the way I drive" he snorted.
AND FINALLY Guess they won't have Rex Grossman to kick around anymore (or will they?) At least Adrian Peterson is putting up some good numbers - too bad it's the wrong Adrian Peterson.
