Mount me at the Paramount!

Situated on Milwaukee just North of the Blommers Chocolate factory we found Paramount, a tasty English Pub with a fancy fare. The owners, of Volo fame, have created an atmosphere here is casual yet chic with a welcoming feel second to none. We were greeted by our hostess who was charming and informative and shuffled to the back as Metromix was there, we naturally felt more important. We were served a few beverages waiting for the stragglers to leave and then rapidly seated in a big booth of love that could have sat 6 but made it convenient for two love birds to sprawl out. The beginning of the night began with superb service which included an awesome ginger concoction and 100 or so of your most delish beer choices not available at your local grocer. While we didn't have 100, the beers were smartly organized in a light to dark fashion; this place is a true treat for beer lovers.

For dinner we started with some tasty mussels, with a sauce so tasty I had wished Nikki were dunking her cristinis in my broth! From there we dipped and dipped in our sauces until our bread was over saturated. From there we ordered a kick ass dinner which was a tasty salmon dish with miso noodles that had super taste and a great portion size. Big Nikki ordered the Rueben with a super sweet side of tempura green beans; a to die for heart attack side!!!! Then for dessert, we went all the way with combining the drinking and dining experience, making ice cream out of Guinness and floating scoops of it in Abita root beer! Yummmo!!!

So before we close, as you know, Nikki and I must provide our washroom review as well (because every date must have a good can). That being said, the Paramount Room’s potty was too dirty for mounting but clean enough to pee. So, should you have a mid-date urge to get it on, save it for the bedroom and a cleaner venue.
