Gone Fishin’

It was for pre-concert meal when we arrived at Redfish for a little Cajun home- cooking! Redfish fancies itself as a slice of Louisiana with live Jazz and a large menu to cater to even the choosiest of Cajun aficionados.

We started our evening off by being warmly greeted by the very friendly wait staff. We must say that of all of our reviews, the service here was among the best. We must also make mention that if you love Mac and Cheese, which we do; you are in for a delicious treat! Baked in a cast iron skillet, it even has bacon in it and we all know that anything with bacon in it is always good! We also ordered up the cornbread, which was downright tasty. I also started with a tasty serving of seafood chowder that had big bites of clam and crabmeat!

Next came dinner where our server recommended the signature red fish dinner for myself and Nikki’s super delectable Caesar Salad with blacked salmon, which made us feel as if we were right in the thick of things in New Orleans. The menu has a wide variety of choices from pasta, to Cajun salads and everything in between; you’re bound to find something tasty. All in all, we were pleasantly pleased with the food and lively atmosphere not to mention their friendly service!

But before we close, as you know, Nikki and I must provide our washroom review as well (because every date must have a good can). That being said, we used Redfish’s potty, which flushes out at a two-spot. It was serviceable but definitely had that no frills feel.
