We’ll take Brett Favre!

That is, since Green Bay is turning him away and so long as they are not going to hold him hostage. Way to treat the best thing to ever happen to the Packers! He’d sure be a great fit on the Bears. Favre probably knows Chicago better than any other team, the weather's cold, and Bears fans would certainly welcome him. Brett, jump the fence! Some Green Bay fans would rather see him stay retired than to put on another team's jersey. To that I say, "What the @#$!!??". Green Bay fans should want Favre to play whether he's wearing green and yellow or not, especially because his first choice is to stay in Green Bay. Not that our beloved 1B fixture Mark Grace is a Hall of Famer like Favre, but when he left town - NOT OF HIS OWN ACCORD - Cub fans were delighted to see him win a World Series ring - no question.

Dan Uggla - What the @#$!!??

Were you trying your hardest to let the American League win the All Star game? Three errors (almost four) on the field and 0-4 with 3 K's? Is that even possible? Personally, I don't think the All Star game should count for crap, but, unfortunately it does so it would have been nice - for Cub fans - if you had planned on playing. I was just surprised you weren't awarded the game's MVP honors – for the American League!

Since I mentioned it already...

Why does the All Star game count? Well it obviously gets better TV ratings. But since it counts, why do players play based on fan votes? Shouldn't the best - not most popular - play if the game means so much? Of course they should. Shouldn't a pitcher stay in the game if he's unhittable rather than be taken out just to display another team representative? It just doesn't make sense, let alone taking a guy on the Nationals just because the D.C. needs to be represented. This would be fine if it were an exhibition game but not something as monumental as home field advantage for the World Series - the most prestigious finals in all of sports. A team should without a doubt be rewarded for having the best record. Instead, it is up to a bunch of players that are restricted to a limit of innings, many of which are on teams that have zero shot of even making the playoffs. Don't like it...

Is it collusion that baseball teams aren't signing Barry Bonds?

Or, could it be because nobody wants the distraction and bad karma of bringing in someone charged with 14 counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice? Not to mention the PR hit any team would receive should they sign Mr. Bonds. Hearing the word "collusion" from the Bonds' has become so tiring and redundant. I'd rather have ten 2008 All Star game performing Dan Uggla's on my team than that big-headed, pill-popping cry baby.
