I recently went to the Horseshoe Casino to cover a celebrity concert at The Venue and was pleasantly surprised by everything about this friendly casino. First, I was astounded by how easy it was to get to. It only took a breezy twenty minutes from downtown Chicago to get there.
The Venue is a fabulous place to see a concert. It is spacious but small enough to be intimate with no bad seats in the house. The acoustics were absolutely top notch and I was told that the team who did their Vegas showrooms designed it. The staff was all incredibly friendly and helpful, from the VIP event staff, to the very knowledgeable Horseshoe PR rep and all the way through to the wonderful ushers in the Venue.
I have never gotten such warm, friendly and helpful attention from a local casino. There was not a snooty, or grumpy staff member in the bunch - even at 4 AM. The Venue will definitely be on my list of great concert halls now to watch for future concerts when I interview celebrities for “The Greenroom with Kim Katz” for www.Buzznews.TV.
I had a great time playing slots after the show in the spacious, clean and airy casino. I actually won a little bit on just about every slot I played! Even the bartenders at The Steakhouse, where I dined after the show, were totally sweet, talkative and friendly, making me feel totally cared for and at home there.
Hey, if you are looking for a fun night on the town, with a low priced high quality concert experience, look no further, the Horseshoe Casino is just a short drive from Chicago, check it out!
