Autobiography of Gentle Giant
Gentle Giant was born out of the ashes of Simon Dupree & the Big Sound, a successful rock and R&B-based outfit led by brothers Derek, Ray, and Phil Shulman. The group signed to EMI's Parlaphone Records in 1966. They had several minor hits before changing direction and in 1967 scored a major hit with the psychedelic sounding "Kites”.
